I managed to get past the login screen and all patched up, my mouse hovered over the play button with a little skip of my heart, I gently sunk one finger down on the mouse letting up slowly to savour the moment. *ding* Error, missing DLL file” Oh for crying out loud! That DLL got found and installed with a little love from the Microsoft website.

Once again logged in, hovered with delight over the play button and with a certain amount of gusto clicked “Play”. *Gurng” Critical Error - Warhammer will now close. That’s it, that’s all you’ll tell me! No offer to find a solution online, just that a critical error has occurred and you don’t want to launch? Well there’s nothing like helping a dude out when he wants to play a game.

Thus ends my love affair with Warhammer this evening, I’m currently using the “run full file check” option at the login screen to see if it can find anything but after 10 minutes it’s done roughly 30% so there’s a fair way to go. I’ll pass for now and hope for it to solved in the morning.

I’m just going to buy Force Unleashed for Iphone and go to bed sulking I think.
