I feel that I’ve been of a Internet recluse the last few weeks, which is fairly unusual for me. But this does explain the lack of any significant updates, I’ve not really been whiling away the time on random sites, catching up on news, etc…so without anything to share, or the net to share it on I’ve not manged much.

That said I have been doing some stuff so I’m going to throw that down to pad out this belated post.

Age of Conan:

Well after the merry instalment fiasco I previously highlighted in this blog I eventually arrived into the game world and proceed out into this massive MMO…on my own. The first few levels proved to be an interesting single player experience but sort of defeats the point. I’m not really feeling it at the moment, but then I don’t think I’ve given it a fair crack as yet. Plus with a housemate that’s over enthused for all things Conan its hard not to feel bad about hating on the thing so I’ll give it some more time.

Grid:

Holy hell this game’s a lot of fun! Like many great games it is one that I suck at but still love playing! It’s one of the few racing games recently that I’ve just picked up and actually looked forward to coming back to the sofa to play again. For those keeping score, yes I’ve moved the xbox to the lounge and the big TV. Also the game really does look amazing! The mix of Euro, US and Japanese racing is awesome and means you can really mix up the gameplay so it doesn’t get to repetitive. All bias to one side, it’s a lot of fun.

Ninja Gaiden II:

Started this up this evening, only had a ten minute bash at it and picked up 20 Achievement points already check me out. I enjoyed the first game, never did finish it, but really did enjoy it…and again sucked at it. This one seems to start much easier than the first, and with the learning curve that the first one was missing…it does however look like crap I think, especially if you compare to the first one or the likes of Devil May Cry 4, etc. I’ll hold judgement till I’ve given it a bit more time.

Metal Gear Solid 4:

I can’t wait for this on Thursday, it’s one of the main reasons I bought the PS3. Pretty broke at the moment so may need to trade in my soul to get it, but by hook or by crook I will buy it damn it! First thoughts on Thursday but I’m excited….
