All that’s good…and bad in TV
Apologies for the lack of anything actually appearing on this blog, it has been a pretty manic couple of weeks. Good start to the weekend with picking up my new car, woo! The car may creep onto here as I start doing stuff to it but its all good. (It’s just a Toyota Aygo for those of you that are curious)
In news that might actually be interesting imdb.com has the full fall TV schedule that’ll take us through untill 2009. There’s been some winners, and some losers though its all relative depending on what you actually like I guess.
Winners:
Returning for new series, amongst others, will be; Scrubs (Now on ABC), Chuck, Heroes, Big Bang Theory, NCIS, The Unit, Numb3rs, 24, Reaper, House, Sarah Connor Chronicles and My Name is Earl.
Losers:
Those that won’t be back, most were previously announced I believe; Bionic Woman, Moonlight. There were several more but, for the sake of honesty, none that I really knew much about.
Bionic Woman was rubbish to be fair so no real surprise that was going, however I was disappointed to see Moonlight go. I like my vampire TV shows, and this one certainly wasn’t the worse I’d seen it just never really felt like it got going.
As for the winners circle, some really great shows in there (in my opinion). Big Bang Theory is a show that I’ve really fallen for, it’s easy watching, witty and just good fun! A friends for nerds of sort, including its own little Ross/Rachel type storyline. Let’s hope that doesn’t cause the show to suffer like Friends did.
Chuck and Reaper are equally great shows, Chuck seemed to suffer from the writers strike and got cut off mid-flow so its good to see that it gets a 2nd outing. Reapers another awesome show, though one I was always going to have time for due to Kevin Smiths involvement but it did actually turn out to be a lot of fun.
08/09 TV should be good with the returning shows, especially as none of the newly commissioned shows listed on imdb really stood out.
